Thank you Jonathan for accompanying my traversal through these realms of grief and insight. I feel the same way about your invigorating voice and talent of speculative fiction. I for one find fiction so much ahead of non fiction and completely out of my command.
This piece is just so full. To me, it feels representative of life, all the emotions, the events, the relationships that we pass through and that are passing through us all the time, and then the weather that runs through it all. Your experiences are always like companions to me, even though our cultural contexts are different (thank you for the work of the footnotes; they are much appreciated). The cold bucket of water that is the dissolution of self is so evocative. Thank you as always.
That’s so generous of you Emily. I think the spaces we dwell - the silence and timelessness always surpass cultural barriers. Nothing makes me more happy than knowing that you find resonance in my voice and home in our shared experiences. Thank you for sparing your time here friend. ♥️
Swarnali, you have been on my mind recently, so I am delighted to once again sit with your words. Where to begin...what a beautiful offering this is. I was captivated from beginning to end. It is both tender and strong. Full of grief, but also hope and possibility. Your care for your mother is a beautiful thing. Thank you for writing and sharing this with us 🙏
Thank you for your attention my friend. It a long a trying inner road that I walked before I could write this piece. Caring and tending to grief is so multifaceted in practice and I just feel privileged to explore it with a wider and intelligence audience like you.
Coming late to this, waiting until I could give it my full attention, and glad I did. Thank you for bringing us Into your world, in all its beauty, and its pain.
“Grief teaches you to be in the present — to cherish the sacredness of the now.” Such a hard, clear truth that always makes me softer 🤍 Thank you, Swarnali
It does, doesn’t it. Thank you for staying and reading my words dear Sarah. I hope gentle wisdom and loving kindness grace you on your path - now and always ❤️
As usual I am utterly captivated by your writing. Intelligent, insightful, poetic, deeply humane. I always feel closer to understanding reading you.

Beautiful swarnsli!
Thank you
The Coucal's serenade was a magical touch! Maybe Thay's messenger or Thay himself!
Yes it was, for the faceless and the nameless is ever present, only if we are paying attention ♥️
